> disperse in ascending order - this means that the higher classes will have to wait for ALL of the lower classes to leave before they are allowed out of the classroom. so if you’re in the 12th standard, then you’ll have to wait for the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th to leave before you. this will take a minimum of 15 minutes.

This isn’t exactly ‘idiotic’…imagine what the status of the Cycle stand would be if everyone were to disperse together. status quo isnt exactly the word.

Of course, this problem has been taken care of now, since the seniors (9-12) can park their cycles outside, in front of the gate (one of our class′s suggestions) and hence, cause less confusion in the cycle stand.

> you HAVE to disperse in a line. imagine higher secondary students walking placidly in a line. yeah, right. what a truckload of shit.

I don’t see anything wrong with that. To you (and a few others), maybe, but we don’t find it a problem. Its a routine, so its not annoying at all…

> you have to form a line INSIDE the classroom while waiting to leave the classroom. whatever.

If you′re talking about the Dispersal, you′re wrong. We dont need to form a line until it’s our class’s turn next. We can just sit down and talk…

the entire playing area in St. john’s is about 1/4th the size of SMA’s ground. no basketball court. no tennis court. don’t even think about a football ground. a volleyball and throwball net are fixed up in this patch of land reducing the playing area by 60%. the other end of the ground is occupied by a few cricket nets. reduce land area to 10%. so we have 10% land to play football in. and the games we are allowed to play are volleyball, badminton, chess and carroms. sick.

That doesnt necessarily make SJBN the worst school in Chennai. I know schools with lesser playing space. Think of something better.

Reason 1: Kishore Kumar

Your Argument: he’s not at SJBN Principal anymore

My Argument: he’s still your Dean and he still a pain.

And you never have boring speeches in your school?

N

imagine what the status of the Cycle stand would be if everyone were to disperse together.

who the fuck cares first come first serve

Its a routine, so its not annoying at all…

see K i dont think u have walked without a line so u dont know

If you’re talking about the Dispersal, you’re wrong. We dont need to form a line until it’s our class’s turn next. We can just sit down and talk…

i other schools we can talk whereever we want and dont have to wait for the earlier class to desperse

And you never have boring speeches in your school?

we never have borin speaches our princi never talks to us there is no prayer at all
and the pt period u have to wait for ur pt sir to come n if he is in a mood he will let u play after warm up

MAK
Well studyin in three schools does not mean i do’nt know a damn shit about other schools,Get that M and N.If St’Michaels is good then how did it lead the chart competing with John’s ha ha ha .Stop ur bed time stories about ur schools and stop singing ur own praises.

M
if having studied in all the 3 school we’re discussing here does not mean i know ‘a damn shit about other schools’, what else does?

YOU have studied in just 2 schools, MAK. and both the schools happen to be branches of the same old St. John’s. how does that make you an expert on schools?

and the only reason SMA got two votes is probably because you must have asked Ar to vote in addition to your vote.

you haven’t even SEEN St. Michael’s Academy, let alone gone inside. how can you vote against it?

maybe you had ‘visions’ or something?

K
Ok, guys. ENOUGH! Let’s get back to some serious discussion, shall we?

I know a friend in Jaigopal Garodia, and he says he’s willing to break the law just to get out of his school….

M
good ol’ Krish. trying to divert attention away from St. John’s as usual…

K
I haven’t seen you giving any reasons yet….

M
Reason 1: Kishore Kumar

Your Argument: he′s not at SJBN Principal anymore

My Argument: he′s still your Dean and he still a pain.

Reason 2: Kishore′s Dad - Rajkumar

this bitch is even worse (Raghav will agree too). he repeats the same thing at every event: ‘God made St. John’s into a great institution. God helped me to this. God helped me do that. God blessed me with Kishore Kumar. I did this…I did that…Kishore did this…Kishore did that…

and then he starts crying.

Reason 3: Teachers

though you might have an exceptional teacher now and then, St. John’s isn’t really known for its teachers. most of them suck.

for some unexplained reason, many of them are from Kerala. not that i have a problem with people from Kerala but its still strange. ok ok so that’s not a valid reason. try the next one…

Reason 4: Idiotic Rules

SJBN has amazing rules like:

> keep left while walking in the corridors. fine, but the corridor is just 5 feet wide. by walking on the left side you’d almost be in the center.

> disperse in ascending order - this means that the higher classes will have to wait for ALL of the lower classes to leave before they are allowed out of the classroom. so if you’re in the 12th standard, then you’ll have to wait for the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th to leave before you. this will take a minimum of 15 minutes.

> you HAVE to disperse in a line. imagine higher secondary students walking placidly in a line. yeah, right. what a truckload of shit.

> you have to form a line INSIDE the classroom while waiting to leave the classroom. whatever.

Reason 5: The ‘Playground’ - or rather, The Absence of It

the entire playing area in St. john’s is about 1/4th the size of SMA’s ground. no basketball court. no tennis court. don’t even think about a football ground. a volleyball and throwball net are fixed up in this patch of land reducing the playing area by 60%. the other end of the ground is occupied by a few cricket nets. reduce land area to 10%. so we have 10% land to play football in. and the games we are allowed to play are volleyball, badminton, chess and carroms. sick.

there are so many more reasons and i′m definitely boring readers. maybe i′ll continue later.

If you are looking for a professional writing, editing and proofreading service look no further than A-Pluss, a custom writing company. They provide essays and term papers for students. Even research papers are available with this custom writing company. A service like this is really useful for overworked students who simply don’t have the time or the interest to sit and write down huge passages of text. You can simply buy a research paper.

MAK
i do′nt think St’John’s is that bad, studyin in it for the past 12 years and listen to rubbish talked about by few who studied there for jus’ 4,3,2,1 years.i think the worst school is ************ *******.Figure that out all u people out there.

M
i’ve been in three schools and hence i can safely say that St. John’s sucks!

it sucks so much we’ll have to make up a new offensive word to describe it.

N
Mansoor u have not studied in any other skool u dont know a daMM
i have seen 3 skools st johns sucks all time

M
WHO THE FUCK VOTED FOR ST. MICHAEL’S?

N
Ya who did it they shall ripped of thier member ship(jus kidding)

but M will rip ur membership off [TRUST ME!!!!!]

M
well, who did it? you’d better own up. i′m pretty sure it was Mansoor.

PJ
To hell with Masoor! St. Michael’s rules…I haven′t been to St. John’s. But i′ve been to two other schools myself. MAnsoor’s just jealous. He cant get outta St. John’s now. It’s like that fox calling the grapes sour….Anyone has any idea wat I’m saying???

M
i do. Mansoor is really really jealous. he’s in St. John’s Mandaveli now and it is worse than Besant Nagar.

K
We’ve all been naming schools left and right, but Nobody’s giving Reasons!

Ill start: The worst school in Chennai is Vivekananda Vidyalaya. The Reason: The Principal sucks. Her solution to any sudent problem is always the same: Whack ‘em. The teachers all suck. The english teacher spelt disturbed as ‘Distrubed’ ( I normally wouldnt mind, but this was done in my EXAM PAPER, and I lost a mark for this!)

Once, The teacher accompanying us to a competition insisted that we stop at a temple on the way, and pray before we went there. I was like ‘What the f…..?!’

The campus resembles a colonial-age prison, and the 6th and 7th std are housed in Thatched huts. Beat that.

As for SJBN, we just had a bad year in Xth. Ask anyone from the current XI or XIIth batch, they’d never want to leave St. John’s now.

N
This is for all u guys in st.johns[all the skools]

K
St. John’s ain’t that bad…This year has been great!

Worst school, huh? Id say Jaigopal Garodia. Last time I went there, I found a couple of full whisky bottles under a loose floor-board in X-A.

Hindu school would come in second…The campus looks like it was recycled from an old colonial-age prison (heck, the doors have BARS on them!) and the last I chekced, the Auditorium had caved in, and no-one had bothered to clean up the mess…..

M
the worst school (in my opinion) is definitely St. john’s. i hated the school. so i left inspite of being given the choice to continue there.

my vote is for St. John’s

A
Actually This year has been quite good in St. Jhon’s atleast better than previous years.

M
that’s what they all say.

anyway, A, you spelt St. John’s wrong. great way of showing your patriotism to your school!

PJ
Ashram….the school’s got a good name but God know’s why….You cant wear slippers into classrooms…and have u seen their uniform??? Bright orange kurtas( for boyz and grilz) with a khaki coat…I’d rather where black-and-white striped pyjamas to school.

M
yeah, that way would wouldn’t need Zebra crossings. you’d BE one.

Db
which “hindu″ r u talkin abt?!

K
Hmmm…Im not very sure which branch it was, It was somewhere near Adayar, I think….but I remember the hoarding reading ‘Hindu School′ along with a bunch of other legal crap.

Auto mobiles have become an essential part of our lives. The convenience of owing your own vehicle encourages many people to buy cars and motorbikes instead of using public transport. However cars are still quite expensive and people need loans and financing options to be able to purchase one. It is important to find the right loan service to avoid problems later. The Auto Finder site is a full fledged auto financing service that is packed with features. They also provide help with locating car dealers, providing car reviews, classifieds service, a buyer’s guide, a loan calculator and free credit reports.

The best part of this site is that they even provide bad credit auto loans. If you have good credit you can be approved in mere minutes. The Auto Finder service on their website helps you to find the right vehicle for you. The Loan Calculator available on the site provides a complete analysis of the loan down payment, the term of the loan, interest, trade allowances and other vital details. There is also a Classifieds service that makes it easy to buy and sell vehicles and even find information about job openings in the automotive sector. So go try out the site immediately.

With dedicated servers, one seldom has to face hosting issues. This is the best way to launch an internet business opportunity. The domain name registration should precede the web development, and particularly the web design.

Was just browsing and came across this…

Firefox hack:
1.Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

2. Alter the entries as follows:
Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

Kinda works but don’t know if that’ll get me banned by high security websites… might think i’m trying brute force attacks.

Anyone know of any tweaks for firefox? This was the first one i came across.

G
I found that while searching for the bugmenot extension. I’m not sure if it works though. It’s active anyway on my comp but my connection really isn’t the best to test if it works or not.

Nice hack, though.

M
i found the tip on the digit magazine but was too lazy to take it and tweak firefox.

thanks for posting this cause i changed the settings now. and it does make a slight difference to page loading speeds.

R!
and thanks to M who did that in my house and the browsing speed is cool man

M
really? i didn′t see much difference.

i installed GoogleAdBGone and it blocks so many ads that web sites seem incomplete. gaps here and there. i like an ad or two now and then. don′t use it. (of course it doesn′t block google ads)

G
Somehow, I prefer AdBlock. Works fine, and has that neat customisability.

M
what about ad sources on the page that draw ads from different sites every time.

So, keep those quotes coming! Post ‘em all here….

The spread of the internet has brought the world closer together. Social networks stem from the desire of human beings to make friends and interact with other people. We often find that people like to share their thoughts and photos with other people all over the world and form close knit relationships regardless of the geographic positions of people.

WireClub is a social networking site. You might be wondering what is there in yet another social networking site. The difference is that WireClub is more community oriented in the form of clubs that together constitute the entire network. There are clubs for almost everything. Another feature that you will not find in any other social networking site is the chat rooms available to all members. So if you get tired of leaving your friends delayed messages even when they are online you can simply go and chat with them. The site also offers members integrated blogs to maintain a journal or a blog and show it to their friends. There is no need to create a blog with some other service. If you’re interested there’s even a dating section of the site that you can visit to find that special someone.

Post the funniest things you’ve heard Teachers say here!

Here are a few to get us started:

Che. period, 6/2/03: “…It will be go away from the nucleus..”

the same period: “…These are repulsive forces of attraction..”

Engg Drawing 8/2/03: “…It will of spoil of nut…”

I have NO idea what they mean…

N
Thats gr8
my che teacher said “all of u get up and then stand”

M
Eswaran (SJBN History Teacher) manages to use multiple verbs in his sentences.

“Are you able to understand?” he asks.

K

Thats gr8
my che teacher said “all of u get up and then stand”

Hehe…good one.

My Engg Drawing teacher manages to invent new, hitherto-unheard of words in Spoken English, some of which being:

‘Loosing’ - probably means becoming loose

‘Nutting’ - dunno.gif

‘Suthify’ - A cross between the tamil word for going ‘round and the english suffix ‘fy’ ( as used in stupefy or signify)

S
During one of those enchanted periods of time when I was listening in maths tution class I heard this - “…the diameter of the radius…”

K
Name of a Chapter as Written on the Blackboard by our Engg. Drawing Teacher:

that’s the least of what Britto says.

there are times when she′s done huge 10-marks problems on the board - and right after everybody writes it down, she erases the whole thing and starts afresh claiming that “it can also be done this way”.
